Sigatoka negra<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

El biopesticida es una soluci\u00f3n biol\u00f3gica utilizada para mitigar la acci\u00f3n de diversas enfermedades en plantas causadas por hongos fitopat\u00f3genos. <\/span><\/p>\n

El biopesticida es altamente efectivo para el control de la enfermedad de la Sigatoka negra<\/em> en banano, el moho gris<\/em> en crisantemo y la antracnosis<\/em> de tomate de \u00e1rbol. <\/span><\/p>\n

En diversas investigaciones realizadas conjuntamente entre la Asociaci\u00f3n de Bananeros de Colombia (Augura) y la Universidad EAFIT, se desarroll\u00f3 este producto biopesticida con base en una cepa de Bacillus subtilis EA-CB0015<\/em>, aislada de los cultivos de banano del Urab\u00e1 Antioque\u00f1o. <\/span><\/p>\n

Esta cepa bacteriana es productora de compuestos antif\u00fangicos (lipop\u00e9ptidos) que inhiben el crecimiento de diversos hongos fitopat\u00f3genos tales como Fusarium verticillioides<\/em>, Botrytis cinerea<\/em>, Fusarium oxysporum<\/em>, Fusarium solani<\/em>, Pestalotiopsis sp.<\/em>, Rhizoctonia solani<\/em>, Colletotrichum acutatum<\/em>, Moniliophtora roreri<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Cabe recordar que en la actualidad este bioinsumo no se est\u00e1 comercializando (licencia en proceso). No obstante, como resultado de la apropiaci\u00f3n social del conocimiento desarrollado alrededor de estas tecnolog\u00edas, se han formado estudiantes de maestr\u00eda y doctorado.<\/p>\n

    El Grupo de Investigaci\u00f3n en Ciencias Biol\u00f3gicas y Bioprocesos\u00a0 (CIBIOP) de la Universidad EAFIT genera nuevo conocimiento en ciencias biol\u00f3gicas y en sus aplicaciones para la soluci\u00f3n de problemas del entorno. <\/span><\/p>\n

    Hace uso de herramientas como la gen\u00f3mica, la prote\u00f3mica, el an\u00e1lisis de procesos metab\u00f3licos, y la optimizaci\u00f3n de procesos, entre otras. <\/span><\/p>\n

    De otro lado, Augura cuenta con Cenibanano. En 2000, la Asociaci\u00f3n determin\u00f3 que dicho Centro se responsabilizara de desarrollar investigaci\u00f3n en fitoprotecci\u00f3n, fisiolog\u00eda y nutrici\u00f3n, suelos, agricultura de precisi\u00f3n y medio ambiente.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
