Aftogan-Rabia<\/span><\/h2>\n

Esta es una vacuna combinada para la prevenci\u00f3n de la fiebre aftosa y la rabia en bovinos.<\/span><\/p>\n

Es la primera vacuna en el mundo con esta combinaci\u00f3n de ant\u00edgenos para la prevenci\u00f3n de dos graves enfermedades, en una sola aplicaci\u00f3n.<\/span><\/p>\n

La vacuna AFTOGAN\u00ae + RABIA 2 ml, es una emulsi\u00f3n oleosa, agua en aceite (W\/O) de una suspensi\u00f3n de virus de la fiebre Aftosa tipos A24 Cruzeiro y O1 Campos, cultivados en c\u00e9lulas BHK (Ri\u00f1\u00f3n de H\u00e1mster Lactante) y virus de la Rabia Cepa PV originaria del Instituto Pasteur, preparado a partir de un cultivo de c\u00e9lulas VERO (Ri\u00f1\u00f3n de Mono Verde Africano), inactivados con BEI y mezclados.<\/p>\n

Ha recibido acompa\u00f1amiento en una fase puntual, del programa Hub Bio de la Alcald\u00eda de Bogot\u00e1 y la C\u00e1mara de Comercio de Bogot\u00e1 en alianza con Biointropic.<\/span><\/p>\n

Asimismo, en la d\u00e9cada de los 80 Vecol recibi\u00f3 financiaci\u00f3n de la Fundaci\u00f3n Rockefeller (EEUU) para el desarrollo de la vacuna antirr\u00e1bica humana y veterinaria.<\/p>\n

Impacto social<\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

La llegada de la fiebre Aftosa a Colombia -desde los a\u00f1os 50-, ha causado millonarias p\u00e9rdidas por disminuci\u00f3n en la producci\u00f3n de leche, p\u00e9rdidas de peso y muerte de los animales. Un hecho que ha derivado en limitaciones para la exportaci\u00f3n de carne a diferentes pa\u00edses del mundo.<\/p>\n

En este sentido, la vacuna contra la fiebre Aftosa, producida por Vecol, ha contribuido ampliamente en la recuperaci\u00f3n del estatus libre de aftosa<\/em> con vacunaci\u00f3n en Colombia. Esto repercute positivamente en la econom\u00eda del pa\u00eds, y en el bienestar de los ganaderos y de los animales.<\/p>\n

Asimismo, Vecol ha implementado programas de farmacovigilancia con el fin de hacer seguimiento a reacciones adversas a la vacunaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n
